AIESEC WORK ABROAD PROGRAMME

AIESEC offers young people professional and cultural experiences abroad through our work abroad programme. International internships are the most intense learning experience and it links together our global network. Each year, AIESEC in Finland provides over 50 members the challenging opportunity to live and work in a foreign country in areas of management, technology, education, and development.

Basic information

 

Our internship programs:

1. Global Community Development Program (GCDP)

The Global Community Development Program (GCDP) is an internship that is hosted by an AIESEC entity under a project or a non-AIESEC organization e.g. NGO, organizations or schools in another country or territory.

The primary purpose of the intern's job description must be; the intern's cross cultural understanding, personal development and the opportunity to contribute to social change.

A GCDP internship is between 6 and 78 weeks.

Fees: €200

 

 

2. Global Internship Program (GIP)

The Global Internship Program (GIP) is an internship that is hosted by a non-AIESEC organization in another country or territory.

Under the GIP, the scope of internship includes:

Management: administration, finance, accounting, marketing, project management and human resources.

Technical: management and development in web, software, networks, and databases, plus some engineering.

Education: promotion, curriculum development, teaching and counseling in the education sector.

The primary purpose of the intern's job description must be; the intern's professional development.

A GIP internship is between 6 and 78 weeks.

Fees: €300

 

Application process

  1. Online application: Download and fill in the application here. Once you have completed the application, send it to aiesecworkabroad@gmail.com. Please send it with your study records and CV attached to it.

  2. Interview: After evaluating the applications, the pre-selected applicants wil be called for an interview. The interviews (Review Boards) will be held in the local AIESEC committees.

  3. Paying the fee: Applicant pays the administration fee and provides adequate language certificates to his/her local AIESEC committee.

  4. Preparation: After the applicant has passed the interviews he/she is required to attend one of the Work Abroad preparation seminars.

  5. Searching and selecting the internship: The applicant gets an access to AIESEC's international database of the internships and should find a suitable internship within 2-3 months. For this the applicant gets help from the local AIESEC office
